My New Office

March 28, 2008 – 06:00 am

I recently went out and bought a whole new setup as my business office. I got a HUGE table roughly 5ft by 5ft or 25 sq ft table. It’s a lot bigger than it sounds. Using only half the table as you’ll see in the screenshot below, I got 3 large LCD monitors along with 3 laptops with room to spare. I got a $300 leather chair, the table was $350 retail, two monitors (24″) were $550 retail each and the last one was $350 retail (22″). The laptops were 15.4″ core 2 duo with 2gb ram and upgraded vid card, sound card, etc etc, new Macbook Pro, and a 12.1″ travel laptop. These were just the systems in the picture, not including the desktop rigs and others that were left out. Of course I didn’t pay retail for a lot of this stuff being a person that’s good at finding deals but now I got a massive work station with the latest and greatest to rock it.

Was this really necessary? Most people wouldn’t probably think so but having a good computer rig and lots of work space really does increase productivity. Especially running your business on multiple monitors to expand your business. If you haven’t tried it, do so when you can afford it. I promise you’re probably not going to want to go back. This however was probably overdoing it a tad bit. Will be building a custom desktop rig coming soon. Check out the pic below to see the new office shot.

UPDATE: Recently added a 46″ Flat Screen LCD HDTV 1080p next to the command center shown above and had a massive money making LAN party supporting up to 8 computers simultaneously with 8 people ^_^
