Apple iPhone 8GB

January 30, 2008 – 10:31 am

I just got my new iPhone in the mail today. It is still factory sealed so I haven’t opened it yet but I’ll get to that shortly. For you geeks out there, this is the stock 1.1.1 OTB version. Back when I was in high school, I use to go through cell phones like water, meaning I got a new phone almost every other month. I am almost just as bad with computers (almost one every season). In the course of my life time, I am sure I have owned at least 50 or 60 different cell phones. I usually would import my phones previously because international countries always seem to get the coolest phones first. I would usually get pretty excited when I get a new phone. I mean who wouldn’t, it’s a new toy to play with!

Today I got the coolest phone yet (in my personal opinion). It is a little bigger than I usually like my phone. My current phone is the Samsung T809 and there is nothing wrong with it, it just doesn’t have all the cool features the iPhone has. Personally I’ve had a ton of phones of various sizes and typically most of my phones are about the size of the Nokia 6100 (in other words, very small). The largest phone I’ve ever had was the Eten G500 which was imported from Europe. That phone was pretty cool too. It has a built in GPS system along with it’s own operating system, much like the iPhone. The only difference was it was thicker and doesn’t support nearly half the stuff the iPhone can today.

I haven’t gotten the chance to use the iPhone yet for obvious reasons but I will do a personal review on it eventually once I’ve used it for awhile. I keep telling myself that this will be the last cell phone I get until it breaks or wears out each and every time I get a new phone. Let’s see how long this iPhone lasts =]

  2. I have modded my iPhone and I really like it. The only complaint I have is that the battery life kinda sucks. The firmware version you have can be easily modded/jailbroken/unlocked, and I know how to get mods like the NES put on there if you like.

Anyway, PM me on T202 for more info… plus,I wanna try out the new inbox feature.

  4. Lol. There’s no such thing as a phone that you keep until it wears out. I thought the same thing about the iPod, and then I just started getting new iPods.

Mine is modded/jailbroken/unlocked/hacked to hell LOL. Battery is fine for me. Just so you know, even when the icon shows its fully charged, it can actually be 80%.

As McDonalds would put it, ‘I’m lovin’ it’

LOL well unless something else better comes along, I doubt I’d get another phone

  7. Price??? Also is it for EU market too?

  8. Hi Alice, I am not sure if it is for the EU market or not, you can check the Apple’s website. I normally just get it through eBay if the price is cheaper or now-a-days buy direct from Apple.
